What are we to believe? Whom can we trust?

Just a thought for the day

In a world that's filled with political and mainstream media's lies, propaganda, and brainwashing, it's hard to know what to believe and whom to trust. Especially when it comes to all we've had to endure for the past year or so. Trying to figure it all out can become overwhelming. Mask? No mask? Vaccine? No vaccine? To do? Not to do? It seems there are so many conflicting opinions on everything any more. Sometimes we just need to shut out all of the noise and...

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6

If we step away from the TV, social media, and everyone else's opinions for a moment and focus on Him and trust Him, He will guide us and lead us. He will let us know what we should or shouldn't do; what we should or shouldn't believe.

How do we focus on Him? A good start is to read the Bible. Sometimes it only takes a verse or two. Focus on the verse(s). Think about what is being said. Then, begin to thank the Lord for all that He has done in your life. Tell Him you trust him in the situation, and mean it. If you don't have a Bible nearby at the moment, just skip to the second part, but try and read some scripture as soon as you can. (Note: most of us have our cell phones nearby...there are several Bible apps for those *smile*.)

It really is that simple. It's my prayer that if you are having a hard time knowing what to believe and who to trust (when it comes to our daily lives) that you will give this little exercise a try! It is well worth the three, five, or maybe a few more minutes it may take.

Remember, prepping isn't just physical; it's also mental and spiritual. I hope this little reminder was helpful 🙂.

Until next time...happy prepping, and God bless!
