I started "prepping" about two years ago now, in the summer of 2016. At first, I was overwhelmed with the amount of things we needed to do just to get started! And, I got to thinking just a few days ago that there are probably other people out there like me that didn't really have a clue where to get started. There is a plethora of information out there on the internet about prepping. Millions of tons of articles and websites! I'm pretty sure I spent a kajillion hours or more scoping them out and never even began to scratch the surface. So, why did I start this blog and how do I think I can help others when there is so much information available? Well, I can lead you to some of the sites I found most helpful, and provide you with some of the experience I've gained in getting to this point. And, who knows, the time I've put into it just might save you some time; after all, who doesn't need to save some time in their busy lives? Trust me, I haven't arrived yet, and I've got a long ways to go to have everything I think I need in regard to being prepared. I also thought that this would be a blog site where we can discuss our experiences with each other and learn from one another. See? It isn't all about me *smile*.
Wait, let me back up just a bit here. I am a born again, spirit filled Christian and I love the Lord Jesus with all of my heart. I have been a Christian for well over half my life now; I got saved when I was 20 and am now approaching the ripe old age of 65. I was in a ministry for several years and everything I believe about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is based on what I've actually read in the Bible. I listen to what pastors/teachers and others have to say and teach, but if it isn't backed up as strictly by the Word of God, I do not put much hold onto it. Having said that, there will be some Bible scriptures that I may include, or expound upon, in my blog posts. I don't expect everyone who reads my posts to believe exactly the same way I do; I don't even mind if you aren't a Christian. But, please don't let my beliefs put you off from reading the posts and interacting with me and others. I want this to be a helpful, happy little community.
Okay, getting back on track...I hope you will check back from time to time to see what's new here. If you want to read the posts you don't need to sign up and log in, however, if you want to comment or participate in discussions you will need to be signed up and logged in. I promise not to ever, ever, ever give away your information to anyone else and I won't spam you with emails. Although, I might send out an email to you ever so often if there's something I've posted that I think everyone should try and take the time to read... and no, I won't do that with every post!
I will try and keep my posts down to only taking 3 or 4 minutes to read, but I can
